If you're someone who loves immersing yourself in a serene, nature-infused getaway, this is your spot! The spacious rooms were comfortable and had all the basic amenities we needed, plus 24-hour hot water, which was a nice touch after a long day of trekking. Now, let's talk about the dining experience! The food was surprisingly delightful given the location - we enjoyed some tasty Indian dishes that hit the spot after our adventurous days. And big shoutout to the staff; They were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, even arranging our late-night meals when we returned from exploring. For those seeking a peaceful retreat and not aiming for luxury, Periyar House offers a fantastic experience that wonderfully combines nature and comfort without the hefty price tag.
